A Dallas native with a math degree from Dallas Baptist University, Wes first joined Precise as a student, working in inventory management, SMT, AOI, and selective solder. He later taught math and engineering at a charter school before returning to Precise. He’s married with six children, including twins, and a son-in-law, and spends his free time on computer programming, building things, and watching Dallas Cowboys football. Fun fact: he played flag football in college — for the B team.

Sources your components and materials, putting our supplier relationships to work on cost and lead time.

Built to documented standards.
Our quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Board assemblies are built to IPC-A-610 workmanship standards, and cable and harness assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Scott Hulbert
Quality and Engineering Manager
Scott joined Precise in 1993, led its test and quality departments early on, and was instrumental in the company’s ISO 9001 certification.

Originally from California, Scott earned a B.S. in Engineering Physics and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of the Pacific, and remains focused on product quality and workplace culture. Fun fact: he served as a Rotary International ambassadorial scholar at Bristol University in the UK from 1989–1990 and traveled through nearly all of Europe, bringing back pieces of the Berlin Wall.

Mark Ott
Founder & Owner
Mark founded Precise Connections in 1985 and grew it from a single-line PCB shop into the full-service electronics manufacturer it is today.
Jonathan Ott
CEO & Owner
Mark’s son, Jonathan started at Precise as a teenager in the stockroom, then earned a Computer Engineering degree from Texas A&M and worked at Hewlett-Packard before returning in 2013. Today he leads company strategy, customer relationships, and business development.

In high school he also handled IT and SMT oven-profiling work for the company. Outside of work he enjoys home remodeling projects and spending time outdoors with his family.
Jerry Thatcher
COO & Owner
Mark’s son-in-law, Jerry joined Precise in 1999 and led the company through its second-generation transition. He oversees operations and continuous improvement, and holds an MBA from Taylor University.

He’s married with four children. Away from work he enjoys hiking and backpacking with his wife, and coaching his kids’ sports teams.
