Four decades of US-based electronics manufacturing for OEMs — from a small Dallas-area shop in 1985 to two buildings, a global supply chain, and a product line that ships finished.
Mark Ott founded Precise Connections in 1985, in a modest building in Duncanville, Texas, a suburban Dallas community. From the beginning, the company built its identity around a simple idea: stay close enough to a customer's operations and markets to apply emerging manufacturing trends on their behalf.
The original business model was straightforward: real electronics manufacturing expertise at an accessible price point, on a consignment basis. What started as a single-line PCB shop grew into a full-service EMS provider — adding capability decade by decade as customers needed more of the product built under one roof.
Four decades, one milestone at a time.
- 1985 — Mark Ott founds Precise Connections in the Dallas area.
- 1991 — First automated PCB and through-hole assembly.
- 1994 — Full turnkey services launch.
- 1995 — Expanded automated SMT assembly.
- 2010 — Cable and wire harness assembly added.
- 2021 — Full product box build and order fulfillment.
- Today — Two adjacent buildings, a global supply chain, and everything still assembled, tested, and shipped from Texas.
